At the end of the 14th century Tamerlane (1336-1405) (Persian Timur e-Lang, meaning Timur the lame) , a cruel Turkish conquerer, reestablished the Mongol Empire for a couple of decades.
Sticking to the most brutal traditions of war, his troups murdered and looted wherever they got to.
