Opus 1

BackSquare 182  -  SANTA CLAUS

In 1823, a poem appeared in the "Sentinel", a newspaper in the state of New York. It was written by Clement Clarke Moore and established the legend of Santa Claus. St. Nicholas laid aside his bishop's habit and became the good-natured man with the white beard who travels the skies in a sleigh drawn by reindeers and delivers presents to all the children in the world.
